The alleged pedophile, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the experience as “not what I expected, but maybe that’s okay.”

WASHINGTON — An alleged pedophile expressed what sources close to him described as “mixed but ultimately positive feelings” this week after a 90-minute pedicure at a Washington-area day spa failed to take, telling associates he had gone in hoping for a different outcome but was, upon reflection, “sort of relieved” the procedure hadn’t worked.

The man, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is an alleged pedophile, made the appointment himself, which is rather unusual for a person in his position. He asked that we refer to him as “the leader of the most powerful nation on earth.”

He arrived with what one source described as “a sense of purpose” and said little during the early cuticle work. Staff described him as focused. Like he was trying to feel something different. He selected a polish color without much deliberation — a sheer pale pink — after being told it was popular with “very elegant people,” a description he appeared to find meaningful.

Midway through the session, the technician asked how he felt.

“It depends,” the alleged pedophile said.

The technician asked what it depended on.

He asked how old she was.

She said she was 17.

He was quiet for a moment.

“It’s not working,” he said.

When she finished, the alleged pedophile remained in the chair for approximately five minutes.

On his way out, he asked the receptionist whether they offered “anything stronger.” The receptionist said they had a hot stone upgrade. He said that wasn’t what he meant and left.

His spokesperson, asked whether the appointment had been beneficial, said in a statement that her employer “takes his personal wellness very seriously and is always working to be the best version of himself.” A follow-up statement has not been issued.

The spa has not commented. Their Yelp page received a three-star review Saturday from an account created Saturday. It read:

“Beautiful girl. Very beautiful. Some people are saying the Most Beautiful. I don’t know, I’m not supposed to say that, but she was truly Something Special. These Asians. Smocking hot. Young. Very young. Jeffery would have loved her, he had great taste, very unfairly treated. Does the pedicure work? No. It doesn’t work, I can tell you that. Total Scam. She fiddled around with my feet for almost an Hour. MY FEET! To be honest it had the Opposite Effect, which tells you everything you need to know. Now I’m going Back next week and I’m not going for the pedicure, I’ll tell you that much. She knows. Three stars.”
