Mourning News wishes to issue a correction regarding our coverage of The Fast and the Furriest.

An earlier version of this story reported that the film was generating Oscar buzz. This was not accurate. The film is generating buzz among four men named Oscar, all of whom allegedly attended an early screening last Thursday in Burbank. Three described the film as "really good." One said it was "fine." None are members of the Academy.

The earlier version of this story also described the film as being about a retired DEA agent whose crew are golden retrievers. The crew are not golden retrievers. We regret the description and acknowledge it may have attracted a different audience than the one the Wayans brothers intended. To be clear, this is NOT a children's movie. We regret any discomfort this may have caused families, the Wayans brothers, or the four Oscars, whose understanding of the film going in remains disputed.

The Fast and the Furriest currently holds a 4.4-star rating on Tubi and a Rotten Tomatoes score the studio has requested we not publish, a request we are currently honoring after the negligence displayed in our earlier reporting.

According to Common Sense Media, the film is rated R and contains suggestive gestures, graphic language, simulated animal fornication, explicit DIY crystal meth cooking instructions, blasphemy, mild waterboarding, severe gluten intolerance, mRNA vaccine disinformation, graphic catheter insertion, and unsolicited legal advice.

The four Oscars could not be reached for comment.
